Points & Referral Terms

1. Scope

These Points & Referral Terms govern platform points, founding-listing grants, referral rewards, promotional listing-tier access, featured eligibility, and similar product benefits offered through Book Jersey Shore. They are incorporated into our Terms of Service.

2. Points Are Product Entitlements Only

Platform points are an internal product accounting unit. They are not cash, stored value, gift cards, credits, refundable balances, security deposits, rent credits, or transferable property rights. Points cannot be withdrawn, sold, assigned, transferred, redeemed for money, or used for Host-Guest rent, refunds, deposits, security deposits, damage payments, taxes, fees owed directly to a Host or Guest, or other off-platform obligations.

Points may be used only for Platform-defined benefits that we make available, such as listing-tier time, guest contract sends, featured eligibility, support benefits, or other product services. Available benefits, point costs, redemption options, limits, and expiration rules may change over time.

3. Earning Points

The Platform may award points for eligible product actions such as account setup, listing creation, identity or email verification, completed contracts, review completion, referrals, or other milestones shown in the Platform or in a written promotion. Points are awarded only when the applicable criteria are met, the account is active and in good standing, and the activity is not voided under these Terms.

A displayed balance, pending award, milestone preview, or catalog entry is not a guarantee that points will be awarded or remain available if the underlying activity is later found to be ineligible.

4. Founding Listing Offer

The founding offer is listing-scoped. The first 1,000 eligible listings may receive automatic Pro-tier promotional access through platform-points grants: listings 1-100 receive 3 years, listings 101-500 receive 2 years, and listings 501-1,000 receive 1 year. Listings created after the first 1,000 eligible listings may receive the starter-points grant shown in the Platform, currently 80 points.

Founding benefits are determined when an eligible listing is created and accepted by the Platform. The Company may reject, void, reverse, or correct claims involving duplicate listings, fake listings, test data, low-quality listings, listings that the Host is not authorized to offer, listings that violate law or Platform policy, technical errors, or other ineligible activity.

Any ranking, featured, support, or visibility benefit associated with a tier is an eligibility signal only. No tier guarantees search position, homepage placement, impressions, inquiries, booking volume, or revenue.

5. Referrals

Referral codes and links are account-level attribution tools. Unless a specific written promotion says otherwise, referral rewards require the referred person to create a Platform account and complete the eligible milestone shown in the Platform. External email-only signing, inquiries, or off-platform activity do not by themselves guarantee referral rewards.

Only one referrer may receive attribution for a referred account. Self-referrals, household or business duplicate accounts, purchased or traded referrals, fake accounts, bot activity, spam, and referral activity designed to manipulate points or reporting are prohibited. We may correct attribution, deny late or conflicting claims, reverse points, and close referral accounts or codes where needed to keep the program accurate.

6. Disclosure When Sharing Links

If you share a referral link, referral code, endorsement, testimonial, review, social post, email, text, video, or other recommendation and you may receive points, free access, discounts, early access, referral credit, or another benefit, you must clearly disclose that connection in a way ordinary people will notice and understand.

A simple disclosure is usually best. For example: "My referral link may earn me platform points if you sign up or complete eligible actions." Ambiguous labels such as "partner," "ambassador," or "thanks" may not be enough by themselves.

7. Abuse, Corrections, and Reversals

The Company may withhold, reverse, expire, revoke, or adjust points, referrals, promotional grants, rankings, featured eligibility, account benefits, or redemptions where activity is duplicate, fraudulent, spammy, unlawful, manipulated, test-only, ineligible, abusive, mistakenly awarded, or inconsistent with these Terms. Corrections may be made through negative ledger entries or other audit-preserving adjustments.

8. Changes and Expiration

We may change or end point catalogs, referral milestones, grant amounts, point costs, redemption options, expiration rules, and promotional eligibility at any time. Grant points and promotional points may expire on the date shown in the Platform. Earned milestone or referral points do not expire unless we publish a later policy with notice or unless the points are reversed under these Terms.
